Service Description

Take control of your future with a 90-minute online career guidance session. Each guidance session will be personalised to the needs of the student. Typical examples of what a guidance session could include: 1. How to complete the CAO application form and to list your choices in order of preference. 2. Applying for HEAR/DARE, language exemptions or to restricted CAO courses. 3. Complete an interest assessment which can be useful in exploring complementary courses/career routes that align with your interests, hobbies and passions. 4. Learn about the different courses within the Schools of Education, Health, Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business and Engineering. Review in detail the learning outcomes of similar courses, helping you to differentiate one course from another. 5. Get advice on exam management, study tips and how to manage your time. 6. Explore alternative routes to college such as the Ladder Approach, entering a course via the level 7 route and progressing to level 8. 7. Post Leaving Certificate Level 5/6 routes to university.
